Krave Sweet Chipotle Beef Jerky

Krave carries a pretty good and delicious selection of gluten free beef and pork jerky. 

I saw this and just had to try it. 

This wonderful jerky is packed full of flavor and have a strong chili aroma. 

The combination of sweet and spicy works beautifully together and It almost tastes like there is a hint of some citrus flavoring. 

Overall, this jerky is pretty good. 

I give this product a 4 out of 5 star rating. 

Katz Gluten Free Powdered Donuts

I am not a huge fan of powdered donuts since in the past I have found it to cause a coughing/choking spell for some people if they inhale wrong while eating this flavor of donuts. 

I was a little hesitant to try these but I decided to be brave and do it anyways. 

These are the first Katz gluten free donuts that my local grocer got in for me. 

I worked with a representative over at Katz gluten free and the manager at my local grocery store to be able to stock their shelf with this beauty. 

Very soon after I bought them and got home, I broke open the bag and tried it. 

I was expecting something dry and somewhat unpalatable since after all, that has been my experience in the past with gluten powdered donut versions. 

However, I was surprised at how moist and fresh it tasted. 

This donut did not require any microwaving, it was just perfect to eat right out of the bag. 

I couldn't help but share a donut with my neighbor, who also has celiac disease. 

She was so happy to get the opportunity to try a donut that tastes just like a regular donut, while I got the opportunity to let her know that these donuts are now available at our local store. 

These donuts were a lovely surprise. 

I should have know, Katz gluten free did it again!

Katz Gluten Free Glazed Chocolate Donuts

As you can tell, I am a huge fan of donuts.  

I don't think I was ever this crazy about them when I could have gluten, but once I became gluten free it seems that the craving has accelerated.

ATTENTION CHOCOLATE LOVERS, YOU NEED TO PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION

These are a must have in your freezer when you get the sudden chocolate craving. 

I microwaved these for a couple of seconds and the chocolate became so moist and delicious while the glaze just melted into the donut, making it a chocolate lovers dream.

They also seemed to become lighter and more fluffy in consistency then what you would normally get with eating it right out of the bag. 

*Just make sure not to over microwave these.*

This would be amazing paired with some vanilla ice cream.

I found these donuts to be very sweet, in fact, I think it is safe to say that it is as sweet as the Katz gluten free glazed donuts if not a little more. 

These donuts have a deep rich flavor and is almost like eating dark chocolate cake. 

Overall, I am happy with their glazed donuts and give them a 4 out of 5 star rating.

Katz Gluten Free Pumpkin Pie Spice Glazed Donuts

I honestly was a little skeptical in trying these but knew that if they were made by Katz, that had to be good.  Sure enough I was right. 

These glazed donuts had a pretty good amount of glaze on them and when I took my first bite, I was overwhelmed by the taste of ginger. To me, these donuts didn't really taste like pumkin pie spice at all, and instead tasted like you were eating a sugar coated ginger bread cookie. 

The texture was on the dryer side but I never microwaved these ones, so I couldn't tell you if they would have gotten more moist after that. 

I suppose if you are a pumpkin spice or ginger bread fan for that matter, you would very much enjoy this. I think it would be perfect to offer this gluten free option at a Christmas/Holiday party. 

I give these donuts a 3 out of 5 star rating. 

Overall, I think Katz did a great job on these donuts, I just wish they were called Ginger Bread donuts rather than pumpkin spice flavored donuts.

Katz Gluten Free Glazed Donuts

I cannot say enough about Katz Gluten Free products, like I said in the product review for their english muffins, they just do a fabulous job at making amazingly delicious products. 

This one has to be my favorite donut that Katz makes. 

Let's put it this way, if you were to sit at a table, become blind folded and were presented with

both a gluten glazed donut and Katz Gluten Free glazed donuts, I can guarantee that you would

have a horrible time figuring out which donut contained gluten. 

These donuts are frozen but once thawed,  it is the perfect sweet snack. 

These donuts are moist right out of the box and if microwaved for a few seconds, 

that moisture is doubled and it almost melts in your mouth. 

The glaze coating is the perfect consistency and it's not to over powering when it comes to sugar. 

I find myself having a hard time putting these donuts down and walking away,

I could seriously eat a whole box in just one sitting. 

There are 6 regular sized glazed donuts in each box. 

Katz gluten free also has 7 more gluten free donut flavors including: 

Glazed pumpin pie spiced donut

Triple chocolate donut

Chocolate frosted donut

Powdered donut

Overall, I am thoroughly impressed and cannot get over how much this tastes like a gluten donut. 

Believe me, I have tried several gluten free donuts in my time of being gluten free and so far, this is the BEST!

Tillamook Country Smoker Beef Jerky & Beef Sticks

Tillamook Country Smoker

As most of you know, beef jerky usually contains soy sauce and soy sauce contains wheat, so for those of us who have celiacs disease, we can not enjoy those brands of beef jerky. 

Lucky for us, Tillamook country smoker is gluten free and safe. 

I was able to contact the company and they sent me out a whole bunch of beef sticks and beef jerky in all sorts of flavors. 

They sent me the flowing beef jerky: 

Honey Glazed 

Sea salt and pepper

 Old fashioned beef jerky

They sent me the following beef stick flavors: 

Regular beef stick

 Hunters Sausage 

Teriyaki 

I first tried out their honey glazed beef jerky and was thoroughly impressed. 

It had just the right amount of sweetness to it, but not enough to be overpowering. 

It was salty and peppery and just down right amazing. Before I knew it, I had eaten the whole bag. 

The old fashioned beef jerky and the sea salt and pepper beef jerky were about the same, the only difference was that the sea salt and pepper one, was a bit more peppery. 

Both of them almost tasted like they had a bit of teriyaki in it and you could really smell and taste the fact that it was smoked. 

I have never really been a fan of beef sticks but these taste pretty good. 

The outside coating was exactly the same as your original gluten beef stick and the texture of the inside was about the same as well. The hunters sausage flavored one was a little less strong in flavor which wasn't very exciting. If you like the taste of sausage, this one would be perfect for you. 

The teriyaki one was another one of my favorite. I missed the flavor of teriyaki, and this definitely curbed my craving. It was very strong in teriyaki flavor, yet not to over powering. 

These products were a little on the salty side but I don't know whether it was from them being smoked or if they just contain a lot of salt. 

Overall, I am grateful I received these products in the mail and got to try it out. 

It is hard to believe this beef jerky is GLUTEN FREE, because it is THAT GOOD!.

Schar gluten free shortbread cookies

Well, If you are anything like me, it's hard to have a craving for cookies and not be able to consume them because of the flour and gluten in most cookies. While shopping for some gluten free food one day, my hubby spotted these cookies. Being the daring person I am decided to purchase these and try them out. 

When I opened them, I immediately noticed the horrible smell inside of the bag, it smelt like a horrible chemical, I then put one of the cookies into my mouth. The cookie was very hard, very powdery & very dry.   The cookies was more on the bitter side. For all of you bakers out there, you know that the main ingredient in short bread cookies is BUTTER, well, when I looked on the ingredient label on the side of the bag, I was shocked to find that this recipe doesn't use any butter. The cookies give a very unpleasant after taste, which makes me wonder what exactly they added to these cookies. Over all, the cookie isn't that fantastic at all and in my opinion, I will not be purchasing this again. Everyone has different likes, some people may like this cookie and some may agree with me that these are horrible, but the fact that these short bread cookies do not have any butter, should tell ya right there what kind of quality these cookies really are.
